Dystopia

Long was the night you left, through my door
Was it all an illusion or was it just a lore.
A story you made me believe that evening,
The smiles that felt like a sweet beginning.
Your eyes could paint the skies crimson,
your demeanor could have blinded the sun.

Could we go back, return to that moment?
Every second that you were not a dream?
This world would never understand us.
With all your shenanigans and your vices,
you were there, stepping into my world.

But you left me high and dry, in the deep,
You let me feel like a sad, old, creep.
You let me take the plunge from the cliff,
and allowed me to take in your love’s whiff.
You saw me drowning into your blue.
You didn’t stop me from crashing into you.

Could we not revisit the time we met?
And let me call your name for the first time?
Wouldn’t you let me touch the spark again?
The one we saw flew when our eyes met?
My world will now forever be a dystopia,
you took my chance of redemption away.

Voice of Unreason

While I navigate through this world as a high functioning rational being, hiding my true self from the prying eyes of reason, this is where I come to unload my irrational thoughts and voices of unreason.
